Infrastructure | Africa’s longest running Public Private Partnership conference comes back to London
LONDON, UK, Capital Markets in Africa: The 8th Africa Public Private Partnership Conference and Showcase (APPP) will once again be held in London due to popular demand and will showcase investment opportunities and planned infrastructure development projects from across Africa.
Organised by AME Trade, the event will take place from the 24 – 26 October 2016 at the Radisson Blu Hotel, London, UK building on the success of the previous editions.
Over the past 7 years, previous APPP events have been held in Tunis (twice), Nairobi, Abuja, Johannesburg, Abidjan and London.
APPP will attract global financial institutions in London and globally to share their expertise, creating the ideal match making platform for both project sponsors and financiers to explore options for increasing infrastructure development via PPPs.
Since its inception in 2009, Africa PPP has become the definite platform for discussing, informing and instigating the successful implementation of PPPs across the continent.
The APPP programme has been specially designed to showcase investment opportunities and infrastructure development through PPPs. Project sponsors, financiers, multilateral development agencies, insurance companies, public and private sector players will discuss ways to mobilise PPP projects in Africa, develop bankable projects and review best practice scenarios.
”The quality of discussions have been excellent. I was there for the training session as well and I felt that it was very well done and very well received… I saw there were ministerial people and parliamentarians in attendance and it is that calibre of people that attend these particular conferences and they come here to learn and to be able to go back to their countries and take the best practices scenario’s back.”
James Aiello, Senior Project Advisor PPP, National Treasury, South Africa

- Harmonisation in PPP Policies and Regulatory Frameworks
- Best Practice Scenarios – Successful PPPs in Africa – Case Studies
